In one of the interviews of Eddie Garcia in the past. He considered his award for TUBOG SA GINTO as the most precious among all the awards he got. According to him, the role of a closet-gay is difficult to portray.

The actor is amazing. He can portray gay, villain, comedy, drama, baka ang hindi lang niya kaya bida, hehehe, has he been in a movie where he's the hero?

Simon,
BTW, in your list of his best supporting actor wins, #3 is listed as Tanikalang Dugo. Hindi ba dapat Tanikalang Apoy?

Simon,
Interestingly, in Tanikalang Apoy, Eddie Arenas also stars, he and Lolita Rodriguez were husband-and-wife as I recall. Here's a trivia, they both appeared in a cameo in Ang Tangi Kong Pagibig at the beginning of the movie where Carmen Rosales was singing, they were in the front table watching. I didn't remember it from way back, hehehe, I just bought and watched the movie. It needs some restoration though.

Just corrected the error, Rod. Btw, nagbida na rin si Eddie in countless movies he did particularly in the 90s, di mo na siya inabutan dito-- movies like among others, Hukom .45, Mayor Latigo, Boyong Manalac, Andres Manambit, Doing Dorobo, Melencio Magat, Padre Amante Guerrero and Alfredo Lim: Batas ng Maynila.

Hi. This is a very good blog. Since you say you own the rights, can you add some of those posters to the IMDB movie database website. Makakatulong ito para sa webpages ng mga classic Filipino movies at para na rin sa ating bansa; upang mas ma-record sa well-known database na ito ang mga pinaghirapan ng mga veteran actors natin.

Salamat.
