TWO PINOY MOVIES SET DURING THE COLD WAR

Lea Productions' "Hanggang sa Kurtinang Bakal," a spy espionage thriller, starring the 60s hottest love team, Amalia Fuentes and Romeo Vasquez, was filmed entirely in Europe--- Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, Seville, Barcelona, Lourdes, Nice, Geneva, Berne, Venice, Vienna, Rome and Berlin.

MG Productions' "Escape from East Berlin," another spy thriller, starring Roberto Gonzales, was also filmed abroad, entirely in the West and East Berlin, the first Filipino film ever to do so during those turbulent times.

Another two movies I wish we have in our midst---

"Hanggang sa Kurtinang Bakal" (1966)- Stars Amalia Fuentes, Romeo Vasquez, Fred galang, Al Quinn and Tony Cayado/ Directed by Tony Cayado and Ben Feleo

"Escape from East Berlin" (1972)- Stars Roberto Gonzales, Gloria Sevilla and Suzette Ranillo and a cast of international stars/ Directed by Solano Gaudite
