This movie is the transition of Maricel Soriano to a mature actress, essaying an off-beat role as the villain within herself and to other people she manipulates. In 1985, she was nominated for lead actress in the FAMAS and FAP, but she was unlucky to bring home any statuette. It was the initial offering of VH Films owned by former ramp model Via Marquez-Hoffmann, which turned out to be a big hit. From the box-office returns of the said movie, VH Films was able to produce two more movies. Maricel Soriano was already given a follow-up movie after the success of the film. But her Mother Studio, did not allow her to make any other movies, outside of the Regal camp.
