THE EARLY SCREEN CAREER OF ZALDY ZSHORNACK

Fernando Poe, Jr. and Zaldy Zshornack were no doubt the top action superstars during the late 50's and 60s. Their films were guaranteed money-makers and sure winners at the box-office.

Ronnie and Zaldy were good buddies early in their movie career. They did a series of films notably the highly succesful Lo' Waist Gang series. He also topbilled Kamay ni Cain in 1957 with Poe doing the supporting role. They even ventured into film production and produced Walang Daigdig in 1960 under the Poe-Zshornack Productions, released thru Larry Santiago Productions. He was at the peak of his career when he had as his loveteam partner reel and real wife Shirley Gorospe. They appeared in such films as Sweetheart, Shirley, My Darling and Hongkong Honeymoon. His other box office hits included Obra Maestra, Fil-American Girl, Once Upon a Time, Basta Pinoy and Pitong Gatang.

His movie successes extended onward to the 60s and 70s. However, when his career went sour, Zaldy and his family migrated to the states. They later came back and Zaldy did some more movies doing secondary roles.
