Hi Kuya Simon. The best lot in the history of MMFF and possibly the most controversial also. If we can bring back again those times where quality films were chosen among the entries and not pure commercial viability.
Thank You Sir for featuring Confradia. Do you have the ads of other films of Gina - Mag-ingat Kayo, Playboy Ako (1976), Malayo Man Malapit Din (1977).
Hi! I've been searching for some time now and I was hoping you could help me: would you know where I can get a copy of the 1977 film "Malayo Man, Malapit Din" starring Eddie Rodriguez, Carmen Soriano and Gina Alajar? It's my mom's favorite and I've been looking for a copy of it for some time now but still haven't found a clue. Thanks so much!
Its been decades, and this film , Burlesk Queen still remains one.of the best film that was featured in a local film festival. Proves that the organizers then were right and justified with their decisions. while many if not all directors in that film festival were great, true enough, the entry by Celso Ad Castillo was the best during that time.
Chanda Romero had 4 entries. She was glorious in Inay but ethereal in Babae,Ngayon at Kailanman . Hilda Koronel was deprived of the Best Actress. Her performance is more compelling and poignant than Vilma in Burlesk Queen. The powerhouse casting of equally Brilliant Liza Lorena at Charito Solis in Walang Katapusang tag Araw need to valued.
