Simon,
I can't believe what I'm seeing. Delgado has an uncanny resemblance to real-life painter, the late Papu de Asis. I watched Nora Aunor and she's quite good, not the acting neophyte and I remember from way back. She seems to have matured, and developed her acting talents. As for Delgado, he seems to be your favorite, somehow I missed his movies. I left in 1979, so that's when he probably came into prominence.

Earlier in his career, if you watched the films directed by his father where Johnny acted, he was good but not as good as he became later in his career.
When Laurice became his wife, she must have taught him a thing or two about acting. Laurice is one of RP's very talented thespians.
In his later films, Delgado achieved more depth, technique, and judgment. Both of them acted in a few episodes of Alindog and they were both a joy a watch.
