In 1966, Sampaguita Pictures launched a group of young, talented and budding stars, calling them the “Stars of ’66.” Loretta Marquez and Shirley Moreno were part of the group. Also in the group were Rosemarie, Blanca Gomez, Gina Pareno, Juvy Cachola, Sarah Calvin, Shirley Moreno, Dindo Fernando, Bert Leroy, Jr., Pepito Rodriguez, Ramil Rodriguez, Edgar Salcedo, among others.
