APENG DALDAL: A PRODUCT ENDORSER

Plasti/pas ad---circa 60s

Funnyman Apeng Daldal, one of my favorite comedians in the 60s to 80s, posed for an ad for medicated plaster of Johnson & Johnson in the 60s. Artist-friend Rod Samonte, then art director of Ace-Compton Advertising, was the brain behind this ad, from concept, design to final artwork. He also did the posing for Apeng. "He's really funny in real life" writes Rod.

Rod, thanks for the wonderful and funny ad!

Simon,
Actually, the brain was the copywriter. I don't even remember who it was now. BTW, I just checked everyone of your postings of product ads in the 50s and 60s. Really interesting to see all those products and celebrity endorsers. Hope to see more.
Rod
