PRODUCT ADS OF THE 50s

While scouring for some articles and materials for my next blog entry, I came across some vivid illustrations of various product ads of the 50s. Here are some cool glimpses of the 50s product advertisements which I’m pretty sure most of us are too old to remember and hopefully could bring back those wonderful and golden memories of days gone.

Cigarettes: Philip Morris, Alhambra, King's Cup, Kool;
Softdrinks: Apple Sidra, Ideal, Cosmos;
Laundry Soap/Detergent: Argo, Super Daz, Breeze;
Face/Body Powder: Cashmere Bouquet
Rubber shoes: Elpo

Ha-ha!

Very misleading yung claim ng Purico at nung coconut oil na pampalusog! Puro saturated fat naman.

How strange, indeed. Kung di ako nagkakamali, yung purico ay LARD or SHORTENING. Alin man sa dalawang ito ay both deadly!

At inabot mo na pala ito, Auggie?

JM,

Oo naman, but during those Halcyon years, hindi pa health conscious ang mga tao. During the week more or less puro Cocido, inun-on or other peasant fare lang naman. Hindi pa uso ang fried chicken noon.Simple entertainment: Comics/Loida Theater/ Soap operas on the AM radio, Rock n roll music on the turntable....
