The film dramatized key moments in early Philippine history: the blood compact between Magellan and King Humabon, the Battle of Mactan and the death of Magellan, and the first Mass in the Philippines.
Starring Lina Alva, Ramon Crespo, Aniceto Robledo, Tomas Oria, Jose Gonzalez, Du’zar de Robledo, Leon Arboliras, Armando Razal, and over a thousand others, Kamoning premiered at the Grand Theater on January 6, 1940.
