RIP, DON PEPOT, 88/ SELECTED FILMOGRAPHY

Veteran comedian Don Pepot, whose real name is Ernesto Fajardo, has passed away yesterday, Jan. 18, his son Michael Fajardo confirmed.

Don Pepot, 88, died of acute respiratory failure due to COVID-19, as per Michael’s Facebook page today, Jan. 19. He also gave the details of the wake, which will be open to the public on Saturday, Jan. 22.

A recipient of the FAMAS Lou Salvador Sr. Memorial Award in 2005 for his contributions to the film industry, Ernesto’s career as a comic actor spanned decades, starting with the movie "Show Business" in 1964. He has appeared in various movies, co-starring with big names in Philippine cinema like Fernando Poe, Jr., Dolphy, Chiquito, Tito, Vic & Joey, among others.  His final project was "Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako" for the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Ernesto’s wake at Solennelle Funeral Homes in Valenzuela City will be open to the public on Saturday, January 22.
