The story of this movie is that grandpa and grandaughter (Martin Marfil and Nora Aunor) live in the slums begging for their day-to-day food. One day, Nora together with her friends were discovered by a talent scout and became a singing sensation and celebrity. Soon, their lives changed for the better. A gold digger Bella Flores became Martin Marfil's lover, but he dumped her for a younger Dolly Fuentes (who was Bella's accomplice in exacting revenge against the grandpa and grandaughter). One time, Dolly gave Nora a drink that would affect her voice and eventually her singing career. In the end, Nora voice went back as a miracle owing to her being prayerful and being kind-hearted.
