Joseph 'Erap' Estrada was the first lead actor to be elevated to the FAMAS Hall of Fame. He won his first Famas acting trophy in 1962 for the movie Markang Rehas; his second in 1964 for the movie Geron Busabos: Ang Batang Quiapo; this was followed in 1966, 1969 and 1981 for Ito ang Pilipino, Patria Adorada and Kumander Alibasbas respectively.
