FAMAS 1968 AWARDS NIGHT: FERNANDO POE, JR. WINS FIRST FAMAS BEST ACTOR AWARD FOR "MGA ALABOK SA LUPA"
Fernando Poe, Jr. received his first FAMAS Best Actor trophy as the fighting priest in "Mga Alabok sa Lupa" (1967).
the first famas award of the king is mga alabok sa lupa. the movie is non-action unlike his other films but it is fitted for the kings acting talent making him best actor, and the rest is history, with asedillo, umpisahan mo tatapusin ko, ang padrino and durugin si totoy bato, making him a hall of famer in the famas. long live the king. hoping some of his black and white films be uploaded in you tube.
