MEMORIES AND IMAGES OF THE 70s #1: Remembering the 70's

ITO ANG DEKADA '70
Some product print ads just to pump up your imagination of what was like in the 1970's.

I practically grew up watching the films of Guy and Pip (Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz III) and Vi and Bot (Vilma Santos and Edgar Mortiz)--- fans mobbing, shrieking... Young stars come and go--- remember Eddie Peregrina and Esperanza Fabon, Perla Adea and Romy Mallari, Darius Razon, the Sensations... Eventually, Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos would become the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful actresses, whose storied rivalry dominated our movie industry for years. It's either you are a Noranian or a Vilmanian. This is the 70s.

Look at the prices below: halo-halo at 2.80 at Sulo and 1.50 at Merced's , Dinuguan with puto at 5.40 and Pepsi at 1.20 at Barrio Fiesta, meal for two at Max's at 39.60 (that's 2 half-chickens and drinks), banana split at 4.50 and chicken sandwich at 4.00 at Gelato's. Prices then were affordable and living in the 70's was then comforting and less worrisome (remember it's martial law years then). I still recalled my mom paying a minimum wage of 240-270/month or 8/day.
