Comedy King Dolphy meanwhile took the best actor and best supporting actor trophies for his roles in two separate movies, Father Jejemon and Rosario, respectively.
Cinemabuhay and Studio 5’s Rosario got seven awards--- Second Best Picture; Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award; Best Supporting Actor (Dolphy); Best Cinematography (Carlo Mendoza); Best Editing (John Wong); Best Float; and Best Production Design (Joey Luna and Miki Hahn).
It’s sad that actress Jennylyn Mercado and director Albert Martinez of Rosario were not even nominated for the major awards.

ReplyDeleteNoli
Hinay-hinay Noli, ang puso natin...hahaha! Jennylyn Mercado's acting and Albert Martinez'direction, in "Rosario" were not given due recognition. How come they're not even nomintated?--- frustrating!
Business war of Lopez at Pangilinan ang nakita natin....
ReplyDeletetang ina mo... the best picture..
ReplyDeleteSimon, di rin ako kumbinsido. Kahit man lang nomination ni Albert Martinez and Jennylyn Mercado, in-ignore nila?
ReplyDeleteTry to watch both movies and you'll see the difference...
ReplyDeleteHindi tayo juror... Tayo ay manonood lamang.
As usual Festival ng mga Basura!
ReplyDeleteSuper disappointed with some of the winners. I can't believe they snubbed Albert for Best Director! Also, I think they gave Dolphy two awards for sympathy after the Father Jejemon controversy. He deserved Best Supporting Actor though.
ReplyDeleteCarla Abellana and Marian Rivera's nominations were shocking! I thought it would be a toss between Ai-Ai, Jennylyn and Kris.
So glad with the classy display of behavior from the actors and actresses this year. I remember Cesar Montano being so bitter in the past (when Bagong Buwan lost in 2001) and of course, Mother Lily's rantings as usual, lol.
P.S. They got most of the movie posters from your blog!
GuestP
most of the jury were from GMA and ABS... ask Butch Francisco(from GMA) one of the jury...hehehehe... and i bet, you know who he voted...hehehe
ReplyDeleteMagand ang site na ito. Proud talaga ang admin nito for being pinoy. Keep it up marami pa kayong mapapasayang reader at viewer ng site mo.
ReplyDeleteBulok ang MMFF. Sorry.
