For me, it's Rosario. Overall ang ikinaganda ng movie. Panalo na dapat yan, or else! hehe.
ReplyDeleteAdvanced Merry Christmas na rin po!
I hope "Rosario" will win too; You know how MMFF awards work--- Happy Holidays too!

I'll watch RPG Metanoia sir. It's promising and very beautiful. A notch higher above the rest.
ReplyDeleteSir Simon, I finally found your shop in West Ave, anong oras ba kayo open? Do you have classic videos there or at least do transfers of them for a fee? Naghahanap kasi ako ng mga classic pinoy films.
@ Noli- sure win na ang "Rosario! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDelete@Lowly Urbanite- We are open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 8pm. However during the holiday break, we're closed on Dec 25, 26 and 27, open on Dec. 28, 29, 30 and 31. We have lots of Pinoy classic movies.
Be watching RPG Metanoia! Merry Christmas!
I saw Rosario last night at SM Southmall. Nakakalungkot lang dahil iisang tumpok lang kami sa itaas ng sinehan. Maganda ang pelikula, cinematography (wow, parang paintings), musical scoring (para kang nasa 1920s Binondo, the song Ang Maya by Maria Carpena, the zarzuela), production design (they really captured the 1920s ambience and the costumes noong Manila Carnivals, etc.), acting especially Yul Servo, Jennylyn, Sid Lucero, Dennis Trillo, even Dolphy, Chanda, Philip, Isabel Oli, Rita Avila, Eula. So many stars in cameo roles like Liza Lorena, Ara Mina, Liezl Martinez, Ronaldo Valdez, etc.). The story is not extraordinary pero malinis ang pagkakalahad. Overall, congratulations to Director Albert Martinez' good direction.
ReplyDeleteJames, we saw "Rosario," first day at Gateway Cubao. The theater was 3/4 filled. Except for some minor flaws, the whole movie is well directed and exceptionally good!
ReplyDeleteSimon, nagtataka ako kung bakit si Albert Martinez and Jennylyn Mercado hindi man lang na-nominate for best director and actress.
ReplyDeleteJames, both were totally ignored and bypassed--- very disappointed!
ReplyDeletehehehe... lutong macao...
