The movie, "Green Bones" won the Best Picture Award in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal, held at the Solaire Grand Ballroom in Paranaque City, Friday, December 27. It romped away five other major awards- Best Actor (Dennis Trillo); Best Supporting Actor (Ruru Madrid); Best Screenplay (Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza); Best Cinematography (Neil Daza) and Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens).
Judy Ann Santos won the Best Actress Award for “Espantaho” and Kakki Teodoro as Best Supporting Actress for “Isang Himala.”
"The Kingdom" took home the 2nd Best Picture Award and Best Director Award for Michael Tuviera, in a tie with Crisanto Aquino in "My Future You."
