THE SIXTIES # 330: FERNANDO POE, JR., BERTING LABRA, YOLANDA GUEVARRA, REBECCA, PAQUITO DIAZ, JESS LAPID, DENCIO PADILLA IN "CALLEJON 11" (1963)

Fernando Poe, Jr. starred as Daniel, a tough NBI agent, who was tasked to investigate a big time crime syndicate with communist links engaged in economic sabotage. His only lead was two suspects, both gang members of the syndicate residing in the slum of Callejon 11. Disguised as a wanted felon, he was pursued by the police in a mock chase and took refuge in one of the shanties in Callejon 11, owned by an old woman, played by Mary Walter. Daniel rented a small space and at night he sneaked and roamed around the city. It aroused suspicions among his neighbors branding him a thief.  As the story unfolds, Daniel uncovered the identity the suspects (Manolo Robles and Victor Bravo) who were snooping around for vital infos and even followed him. That just what Daniel needed that would lead him to their leader, Frank (Paquito Diaz), and to the mastermind, played by Vic Diaz, a fanatic Marxist- Stalin supporter.
