THanks, Mr Santos for this post dedicated to my favourite filipino actor Anthony Alonzo. The movies he did during this period are without doubts my favourite ones.
ReplyDeleteDiegong Bayong is very dramatic & the action displayed could be compared to the action John Woo directed in Hong Kong in the middle 80's.
Thanks Jesus! Anthony Alonzo was indeed one of the finest actors in our country winning awards and receiving praises and accolades for his performances.
ReplyDeleteI have spent hours & hours searching for this kind of movies in SM Malls & Robinsons Malls in Manila, Cebu & Dumaguete but I can't find Alonzo's movies easily.
ReplyDeleteEddie Garcia's. Poe's, Rudy Fernandez's are everywhere but It is really hard to find this gems from Anthony Alonzo.
These movies by Alonzo tell true crime stories. Today, there are some TV series about real crimes in Spanish TV channels. Sometimes the way the shoot & show remembers me some Hong Kong & Filipino movies & scrips.
