ReplyDeleteNapanood ko na yung "Ang Panday" ni Bong Revilla. Hindi mapapasubalian na maganda nga ang effects ng pelikula, ika nga, "parang Hollywood". Pulido na kumpara sa mga nakaraang ganitong tema ng pelikula. Pero, mukhang nag-concentrate sila ng husto sa special effects at nakalimutan na nilang paganahin ang istorya ng pelikula. Hindi ko masasabing maganda ang story ng pelikula dahil napanood na natin yun paulit-ulit sa mga Pinoy films. Ginawa na rin lang nila, sana di na nila ginaya pa yung Panday ni FPJ, nagsalaysay na lang sana sila ng ibang istorya na konektado sa mga nakaraang Panday. Okay, maganda ang special effects, pero maraming gaya sa mga nakita na nating effects sa mga pelikula sa Hollywood: Lord of the Rings, Narnia, 300, Ninja Assassin, atbp. Saan ba ang setting ng pelikula? Bakit nagkaroon ng dragon? Ano ang timeline ng pelikula? Bakit meron akong nakitang nakasalamin na babae sa mga ekstra? At, masyadong maraming slow-motion sa mga action scenes? Pero talagang hanga ako sa visual effects created by Riot, Inc. Kaya na natin siguro makipag-sabayan sa foreign films pagdating sa visual effects.
Walang ngang TIMELINE at SETTING ang Panday. Siguro parallel universe. Yung costume ni Panday isa actually anachronistic.Elvis Presley haircut, GLENMORE BOOTS, at marami pang iba... kulangsa logic at research. Napunta lahat sa SFX....

ReplyDeleteJames, Mang Pandoy: Tama ang obserbasyon niyo. Concentrated sila sa special effects at nakalimutan nila ang storyline ng pelikula. Mas maganda sana kung na develop at binigyan ng diin ang plot at tema. Para sa akin, iba pa rin ang mga Panday series ni FPJ lalo na ang Panday 2. Maraming Salamat!
PANDAY ang napanuod ko dito. Ok. Siya dami ding nanuod. Pero dun sa story mejo may konting naiba.
