Hi Mr. Simon!
ReplyDeleteI am Patty and I was actually once featured on this blog... regarding this little entry I made about your video store.
Anyway, I am looking for a gift for a good friend of mine who's a fan of everything movies and such. I was just wondering where you got all those old posters?
And I'm aware that you sell some DVDs there as well as I was able to buy a copy of Cinema Paradiso and A Clockwork Orange there... Do you sell DVDs of old Filipino movies? As in the really old classic ones? If yes, please reply. Thank you! :)
Hi Patty! Please email me at simon_santos48@yahoo.com so I can attend to you in a more personal manner. Thanks!

Auggie
Auggie, only Boboy and Danny--- Boboy had a bigger role in the movie than Danny; Also, the two were in the cast of "Kung Mangarap Ka't Magising," another Mike de Leon film.
ReplyDeletei watched "kakabakaba..." a few times on cinema one--i think i also saw jim paredes there, pero it was a very brief non-speaking role...he was the conductor of the orchestra at the very end of the film...hindi nga lang din siya na-close-up doon but i could tell it was him...
ReplyDeleteDuring the interview with Bibeth Orteza and Boy Gatus, they said the Apo was the very first choice to lead the casts of "ISKUL BUKOL". However, the talent fees of these Atenean trio was already astronomical then because of their popularity so Gatus, the producer of Iskul Bukol, settled for the up and coming Discorama hosts Tito, Vic, & Joey. And the rest, as always said, is history.
ReplyDeleteBibeth did not mention though who will portray Ongasis and Escalera Brothers.
