hi, I just wanted to drop a line and say this is one of the best film blogs on the internet. I'm always frustrated at the dearth of material on line on our movies. I can find info on obscure little Icelandinc art films, but hardly anything on our own films:( that this blog exists is a wonderful thing, and I hope you keep doing what you're doing :) Salamat po!!!

Funny how The Longest Hundred Miles is a movie about Bataan, but a big chunk of it was actually filmed in the province of Sorsogon (now Sorsogon City) in the Bicol Region. It was filmed in different towns of Sorsogon. I even watched some scenes done in the town of Barcelona where an army truck was supposed to cross a river. Vilma Santos was in that particular scene. It was there when I first saw her. She must have been 9 or 10 years old. I was only 7 years old then and vacationing in the province of Sorsogon.
