Eddie Rodriguez’ forte was in drama roles where he pitted talents with such drama icons as Lolita Rodriguez and Marlene Dauden forming a formidable triumvirate. He was dubbed the ‘Drama King’ of Philippine Movies which he ruled for almost two decades, in the 60s and 70s. However, Eddie, versatile as ever, also did action roles and portrayed characters like Target Max, The Shadow and El Perro Gancho. But his most successful action series were Paolo Stacatto (2 times) and Cobra where he essayed the role five times.
