ROGELIO DELA ROSA: A GREAT DEBATER AND ORATOR

The young Rogelio de la Rosa opted to pursue his study first instead of film career, enrolling at Far Eastern University where he excelled both in sports and academics. He was an excellent collegiate athlete and debater in the years from 1932-34. In 1933, de la Rosa won the prestigious Claro M. Recto Gold Medal in a national oratorical contest. 

De la Rosa obtained his associate in arts degree from FEU which, years later, named him its outstanding alumnus.
