MORE ON PRE-WAR TAGALOG MOVIES: MARIA CLARA RUIZ, ANGELITA REY, DOMINGO PRINCIPE, NELA ALVAREZ, BEN RUBIO IN "SANGA-SANGANG DILA" (1937)

Synopsis--- Using the life of a Philippine Army officer, Lt. Dalistan, played by Ben Rubio, as a background, "Sanga-Sangang Dila" is the story of a young army pensionado, who comes back from the States to find his wife Meding, (Maria Clara Ruiz), the object of the town gossips who accused her of carrying an affair with his closest friend and protégée, Dr. Alfredo Rocamonte (Domingo Principe). The situation is complicated when Lt. Dalistan finds Dr. Rocamonte and his wife in a compromising situation in his own home. Giving full credit to the wagging tongues he leaves for a Moro campaign in Lanao, where he is assigned without saying goodbye to his family and he almost wrecks his life and of all those dear to him before finding the truth, but too late.

Produced by Filippine Films, the movie was directed by Fermin Barva and starred Maria Clara Ruiz, Angelita Rey, Domingo Principe, Nela Alvarez, Ben Rubio and others.

It was released and shown at Fox Theater,  September 13, 1937.
