60s LOCAL TV SHOWS # 6: "BUHAY ARTISTA" CIRCA 1964

The legendary comic duo of Dolphy and Panchito headlined Buhay Artista, one the top-rating TV shows in the 60s. A Sunday evening treat for the whole family telecast over Channel 3, from 7:30 t0 8:30 p.m.



A movie was made in 1967---

    I think another movie version of this television show was made way back in 1979 starring Dolphy and Vilma Santos entitled "Buhay Artista Ngayon".

      Sequel to 1967 film released in 1979 starring Dolphy Panchito Alba Vilma Santos & all star cast became a compilation movie and cult favorite in the Philippines.

      Gorio and his Jeepney classic Filipino TV series starring Chiquito Yolanda Guevarra & all star cast released in the 1960's era aired on ABC TV 5 serialized in TV films comics animation and media created by Ben Alcantara.

      Buhay Artista classic Filipino comedy musical variety show aired on ABS-CBN Network from 1964-72 for 9 years starring Dolphy Panchito Alba & all star cast became a compilation TV series and by public domain in the Philippines.
